Ms Hemrajani has over 20 years of tech and business experience, spanning network engineering, strategy, regulatory and sales in the mobile communications, domain names and cybersecurity sectors.  She has held senior roles in the telecommunications industry, was formerly a member of the Board of Directors at ICANN, runs a technology consulting firm and is an experienced commercial mediator.  She has a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Her research interests include the fragmentation of the internet, information and data security, Critical Information Infrastructure (CII), cybersecurity and corporate governance and handling cybersecurity related commercial disputes.
